Information for WebCT Users

  • User accounts are deleted each semester and reloaded with current students. You must be enrolled in a class that uses WebCT in order to log in.
  • WebCT used by UCCS is not Blackboard. Blackboard bought WebCT and has added their logo, but the software is still WebCT.
  • If you're enrolled is PSY 100-OL1, this course does NOT use the UCCS WebCT. Go to web.uccs.edu/hdavis for information to access the correct WebCT.

WebCT ID and Password Help

  • Your WebCT ID is typically the first letter of your first name followed by the first seven letters of your last name for a maximum of eight letters. If this username is already in use, the eighth letter (if any) is deleted and a number appended; e.g. jsmith2.
  • WebCT passwords are reset to the default each semester. That's MmmssssL where:
    • Mmm = first 3 letters of your birthmonth
    • ssss = last 4 numbers of your student ID number
    • L = first letter of your last mame
    • The first and last letters of the password are capitalized.

Changing WebCT Passwords

  • After you get into WebCT, recommend you change the default password. We suggest that you use the same IT password as you use for UCCS Webmail so you don't have to remember two passwords.
  • If you cannot log in, call the IT Helpdesk at 262-3536 for assistance.
