UCCS Voicemail Vacation Message

Last Update: 10/13/06

The UCCS voicemail system allows for multiple greetings. The primary greeting is what people normally get when you don't answer. You can set a conditional greeting for a vacation message and enable it (instead of the primary greeting) while you're gone.

Call 3800 and enter your passcode when requested. When it begins the next instructions, press the following buttons on the telephone keypad one after the other:

  • U for user
  • G for greetings
  • C for conditional
  • N for no answer
  • R for record

Record your message like "This is John Smith. I will be on vacation until October 15. Please call Jane Doe at 262-5555 for assistance. Thank you."

As soon as you finish your message, press the following buttons:

  • X for exit and save
  • X for exit and save
  • E for enable conditional greeting

And hang up the phone.

When you return from your vacation, dial 3800 and enter your passcode. Now press the following buttons to reset your message so people get the normal greeting:

  • U for user
  • G for greetings
  • E for enable primary greeting

And hang up the phone.
