UCCS Wireless Access for Linux (Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04)

1. Click the networking device icon in the GNOME notification panel.

2. Select "UCCS-Wireless".

- 3. For Wireless Security select "WPA & WPA2 Enterprise". Click the
drop down menu for "Authentication" and select "Protected EAP (PEAP)"

- 4.Click the drop down menu next to "PEAP Version:" and select "Version
0". Next click the printer icon next to "CA Certificate:"

5.You'll need to go to your certificate folder. This is located under
/etc/ssl/cert/. Select
"Verisign_Class_3_Public_Primary_Certification_Authority_-_G2.pem" then
press "Open" button.

6.You should now enter your User Name and Password for your UCCS account and then press the "Connect" button.

7. Open a browser window and go to any website. You'll see the following page. Read the EUA, check Accept, and click the Next button.

- 8. Enter your UCCS IT username and password as well as a contact phone number. Enter the current
building and room number in the "Room Number" field. (If you don't know the room number,
just enter the building. Click the Download button.

- 9. You will be directed to this website.

- 10. Disconnect from the UCCS-Wireless and reconnect using steps 1-2.
