Running Spybot

1. Double-click the Spybot icon on the Desktop or start it from the Program list. Click the "Search for Updates" button.

2. If it finds anything, make sure there's a checkmark to the left of each item. If necessary, click to put a checkmark in each box. Then click the "Download Updates" button.

3. Spybot will place a green checkmark by each item after it's downloaded. Now click the "Search & Destroy" button.

4. If there are no updates available, you'll get this pop up. Click the OK button and continue with the window below.

5. Click the "Check for problems" button.

6. If spyware is found, click the "Fix selected problems" button.

7. Click the Yes button to confirm.

8. Spybot will place a green checkmark by each item after it's quarantined. Click the Immunize button.

9. After your system is immunized with the latest updates, use the little scroll bar on the right to move down to see the Brower Helper area. Click to place a checkmark next to "Enable permanent blocking ..." if it isn't checked.
