How do I find my UCCS Username and Password?

    Go to the UCCS Username Assistance page.
  • New Students - Click on Claim Your Account
  • Current Students - Click on Who is Who
  • New Faculty, Staff - Click on Who is Who

Self Service Password Reset

    You can now reset your password using the security questions you answered when claiming your account or when you logged into a lab computer on campus.
    Click here to reset your password.

I forgot my password. What can I do?

    If you do not remember your old password, or you did not create security questions, your password can be changed at 3 different locations on campus:
  • Help Desk (M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • Columbine Hall Computer Lab (M-F 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • Kraemer Family Library Computer Lab (See Library Hours) http://www.uccs.edu/~library/info/hours.html

    • Come to one of these locations with your Student ID and we can help you reset your password.


I know my password. Why can't I login?

    If you are able to login to your student e-mail but unable to login to other UCCS systems, it is likely that your password is expired or set as a default. Passwords expire every 90 days and must be changed in order to maintain access to UCCS systems.
  • To update your password, go to the UCCS Username Assistance page.
  • Click on Password Change to update your password.

What is the UCCS Default Password?

    New staff, faculty, and students are set to Mmm####N where:
  • Mmm = birthmonth (e.g. January = Jan, February = Feb)
  • #### = last 4 digits of student ID number (employee ID number for staff and faculty)
  • N = first initial of last name

    • *Use UPPER and lower case where indicated.

How Do I Change My Password?

    You must be connected to the internet and know your current password. This link will work both on and off campus.
  1. Go to UCCS Username Assistance
  2. Click on Password Change
  3. Passwords expire every 90 days and must be changed
    This does NOT apply to EAS servers, eCompanion, or eCollege.
    In order to change the eCompanion/eCollege password:
  1. Log in
  2. Click the User Profile tab at the top of the page
  3. Enter your new password twice
  4. Click the Update Your Profile button

UCCS Password Requirements

    The following rules must be used in selecting a new IT password.

  • Must Meet All 4 Requirements:
    • At least 8 characters long
    • lowercase
    • UPPERcase
    • Numbers 0123456789
  • CANNOT CONTAIN:
    • Previous Password
    • Your First or Last name
    • Your User name
    • It is best not to use special characters * @ # % & = : ; " ' ? / \ or a space
  • Example Passwords:
    • Took5Finals
    • WoWis4nerds
    • crashed3Macs
    • Here7Years
    • UCCS1rocks
