What is a Netbook?
A Netbook is a smart and economical computer choice for new students who are willing to sacrifice extended media
features for the benefits of extra mobility and extended battery life.
Typically, Netbooks are around 2-3 pounds and are less than 13 inches wide. These dimensions work to their advantage by
making them very portable.
However, just because they’re small does not mean they have a short battery life. The OEM (Original Equipment
Manufacturer) batteries that come with Netbooks can power the computer on average between 6-10 hours.
Users that wish to use their computer for avid gaming or entertainment (such as watching movies) should not invest in a
Netbook.
For students interested in a reliable computer that can get the job done and travel with them from class to class should
greatly consider a Netbook computer because it could save them several hundred to a thousand dollars.
