Security Changes to Thunderbird

1. Open Thunderbird.

2. Click the Tools menu and select Account Settings.

3. Select Server Settings. Mark SSL under Security Settings. Ensure the Port is 993.

4. Select Outgoing Server (SMTP). Select your email accout and click the Edit button.

5. Mark SSL under Security and Authentication. Ensure the port is 465. Click OK. Then OK again.

6. If you had to enter your password in step 1, you can skip the remaining steps.

7. Click the Tools menu and select Options.

8. Click the Privacy icon. Click the Passwords tab. Click the Edit Saved Passwords button.

9. Either highlight your email account and click the Remove button or click the Remove All button to remove all saved passwords. Click the Close and then the OK buttons.
