Security Changes to Outlook 2007

1. Open Outlook.

2. Click on the Tools menu and select Account Settings.

3. Highlight your email account and click the Change button.

4. Remove the password and the checkmark so it will NOT remember the password. Click the More Settings button.

5. Click the Outgoing Server tab. Click to place a checkmark by "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."

6. Click the Advanced tab. Click the down-arrow in the box to the right of Incoming server and select SSL. Do the same for the Outgoing server. Change the Outgoing Server port to 465. Click OK. Now click the Next button and then Finish.
