Security Changes to Outlook Express

1. Open Outlook Express.

2. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts.

3. Click to highlight your email account and click the Properties button.

4. Click the Servers tab. Remove the password and the checkmark so it will NOT remember the password. Click to place a checkmark next to "My server requires authentication."

5. Click the Advanced tab. Click to place checkmarks next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" for both Outgoing and Incoming mail. Change the Outgoing mail port to 465. Click the OK button.

6. Click the Close button and download folders if prompted.
