Updating Email Clients for Additional Security

On November 19 and December 1, the Information Technology Department will be increasing the security of the UCCS email system to combat the increase in spam,
viruses, and bogus email. These changes may require changes to the email configuration on your computer to allow you to continue to receive and send email.

Off-campus access will be effected on November 19. You will continue to receive email (until December 1), but you may not be able to send email unless you make
the changes listed below.

As of December 1, on-campus and off-campus email will be effected. To receive or send email, you need to make the changes listed below.

Exceptions: If you use any of the following to access your email, you do NOT have to make any changes.
- Webmail
- Microsoft Outlook Exchange (username@ufp.uccs.edu)
- EAS email (username@eas.uccs.edu)

Due to the new email security, Netscape will no longer work with UCCS email beginning December 1 (November 19 off-campus). Suggest Netscape users switch to
Thunderbird as it's also Mozilla-based. Full instructions are shown at the link below.
