1. Start Ad-aware by double-clicking on the Desktop icon or find Ad-aware in Programs. Click on the "Check for updates now" link.

2. Click the Connect button.

3. If it finds updates, click the OK button to download them.

4. Click the Finish button.

5. Click the Start button.

6. "Perform smart system scan" is a faster scan. "Perform full system scan" is more thorough. Choose the one you prefer and click the Next button to begin the scan.

7. If spyware is found, right-click any box under the Obj. column and choose "Select all objects".

8. Click the Next button.

9. Click the OK button to delete the spyware.
