GSPA frequently receives requests for people to
serve as volunteer (sometimes paid) temporary analysts or field
administrators in Pikes Peak area public and nonprofit
agencies. These field experiences can be used for
elective credit or to fulfill an internship requirement,
and they are an excellent way for students to learn
about area agencies and to build their resumes for
future opportunities. In most cases, GSPA requires that
students have completed core and track courses prior to
accepting an agency assignment so that they bring the
needed skills to the job. GSPA students can keep in
touch with potential openings in two ways. First, from
time to time openings will be posted here; to express
interest, contact Dr. Richard Box by email or telephone.
(Click on the mailbox below or call Dr. Box at (719)
262-3485).
send email to Dr.
Richard Box.
Second, sometimes agencies ask GSPA to select interviewees for positions based on our knowledge of student interests and courses completed (for example, a personnel department might ask for someone who has completed Human Resources Management, PAD 522). If you would like to make yourself available for this type of selection, please leave a message with Dr. Box, who will contact you for further information.
