Who Should
Enroll in the Graduate School of Public Affairs?
The Graduate School of Public Affairs attracts two types of
students -- mid-career public and nonprofit sector professionals who wish
to advance their careers or sharpen their skills, and persons who contemplate careers in public service positions. In
particular, the following types of persons will benefit from this program:
People now working in public and nonprofit positions who wish to
more fully develop their potential for executive leadership.
People who plan to pursue careers as managers in the public and
nonprofit sectors or as elected officials.
People working in private sector organizations who have
substantial contact with or are regulated by the public sector.
People who are not degree-bound but who want to develop specific
job-related skills or expertise, or who wish to pursue one of the Certificate
programs.
People who eventually wish to pursue a Ph.D. in Public
Administration.
