Guaranteed Admission for Current UCCS Students
This program is designed to offer outstanding students enrolled in their final semester at UCCS guaranteed and expedited admission to the Graduate School. Early admission is not available to students on an F-1 visa.

Fast-Track Admission for Current and Former UCCS Students
The Fast-Track Admission Process is designed to offer a more efficient admission process to former undergraduate students that have graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs no more than four years prior to the time of application to a graduate program. To learn more about Fast-Track admission please contact your program of interest. Please note: possible prerequisite coursework may be required for some graduate programs.

Application Materials and Downloadable Forms
To apply to the Graduate School at UCCS, please review and print/download the items below. All application materials are to be sent directly to the department in which you wish to study (see below for address).

Domestic applicants may also complete Parts I and II of your application online via a secured connection. Additional application materials that cannot be completed online must be mailed to the department.

International students should contact the program of interest directly to obtain an application packet.

The forms contained in the table below are for applicants who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Foreign students should contact the department in which they plan to study regarding forms.

Graduate School Application, Parts I and II

You may either print and submit Parts I and II of the Graduate School Application (click the links above to download) or complete them online by clicking here.

Please note that if you submit Parts I and II online, other required items listed below must be mailed to your program of interest.

Note: In regard to Part II, some programs have additional requirements beyond those listed in Part II above. Please contact the program directly to determine whether of not this applies to you.

List of Major Codes

Selective Service Registration Certification  

If you have been previously classified as an out-of-state student within the last three years, you should also complete a Petition for In-State Tuition Classification. This form can be obtained by calling (719) 255-3361. 

Note: Parental financial information may be needed to complete this form.

Male applicants born on or after 1/1/1960.

Applicants eligible for in-state tuition rates (this must be submitted with new applications to maintain eligibility).

Letters of Recommendation

The applicant completes the top portion of this form before giving to recommender. The completed letter(s) should be mailed by the recommenders themselves.

Note: Different programs have different requirements for the number of letters that should be included in an application. Click here to refer to the Graduate School Program website for direct links to individual program requirements.

Two sets of official transcripts from each college or university previously attended, regardless of whether a degree was earned.

Application and Notification Timeline
The department must receive all application materials on or before the application deadline. Recommendation letters and transcripts from previous institutions usually take several weeks to a few months to arrive. In order to meet the deadline, the application process should begin much earlier.
 Finally, some programs allow students to enroll in courses prior to formal application into their graduate program. Please check with the program of interest to determine if this option is available.
  
Once you have applied, the decision and subsequent notification will be dependent on the particular program as well as the completion of all application materials. If you have questions about the status of your application or its processing time, please
contact the program department that you applied to.
