RESEARCH INTERESTS:

My research program targets the area of mental health and aging. Specific interests include diagnostic and assessment issues in clinical psychology and geropsychology, suicide prevention and aging, and personality disorders across the lifespan. I serve on the editorial boards of two journals (Behavior Modification; Clinical Case Studies) and am the Associate Editor for the Clinical Gerontologist. I am also a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America. I received the Outstanding Teacher award from the UCCS College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2002 and from the UCCS Campus in 2006.
