Responsibilities: Classroom and Senior clinical faculty member, teaching Maternal and Child Nursing, member of curriculum committee, and member of the task force to prepare for NLN accreditation visit.

Responsibilities:          Planned and presented orientation and inservice programs for all hospital personnel. Established orientation and inservice requirements for opening new coronary care unit. Initiated a traveling learning cart that visually demonstrated specific lessons, for example, ‘Preventing waste by increasing awareness of                                     the cost of items used in providing care”.

Beginning with a South Carolina Board of Nursing approved proposal, established all aspects of the educational process, including classroom, laboratory, clinical teaching and evaluation; interviewed and hired faculty, and guided curriculum development; established, at the request of the South Carolina Board of Nursing, a RN completion program; negotiated contractual agreements with hospitals, community health, and long-term care facilities for student learning; implemented summer internship programs for nursing students; served on interdisciplinary lesson committee to plan student learning experiences in local health care facilities; initiated  clinical advisory council, chairman curriculum committee; member of the committee of South Carolina  University Deans.
