Disbursement of Awards
Financial aid refund checks, which will be the difference between your
total grants, Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Stafford Loan awarded and your
total tuition, fees, and residence hall room and board (if applicable),
will be mailed to you approximately one week prior to the beginning of the
semester. You must authorize a direct deposit of your refund by completing
the Direct Deposit authorization form or make arrangements with the loan
disbursement office. Funds are disbursed if you are registered for the
sufficient number of credit hours, have a complete financial aid file, are a
degree-seeking student, and have met Reasonable Academic Progress
requirements.
Again, if you are a first-time borrower at this university,
you must complete
pre-loan
counseling as your loan will not be processed
if this has not been done.
If you are borrowing a loan for the first time, or have changed lenders then
you are required to sign a
Master Promissory Note (MPN) before your loan will be disbursed.
If you do not have sufficient grant and/or loan funds to cover tuition and
fees, you will receive a
BILL for the balance of
TUITION AND FEES from the
Bursar's Office and will be responsible for this payment.
