Disbursement of Awards

If your financial aid award is greater than the amount you owe UCCS, you will receive a refund. You can expect to receive your refund by the first day of class, assuming that you have met the disbursement requirements (see above). We encourage you to submit a direct deposit authorization form so that we may deposit your refund as soon as it is ready, and you will not have to wait for the check to arrive by mail.

If you are borrowing a loan for the first time, you are required to complete Stafford Entrance Counseling and to submit a Master Promissory Note (MPN) before your loan will be disbursed.

If you do not have sufficient grant and/or loan funds to cover tuition and fees, you will receive a BILL for the balance of TUITION AND FEES from the Bursar's Office and will be responsible for this payment.
