Master Promissory Note

You are required to sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN) with your lender. The Master Promissory Note is your binding agreement for repayment of your Stafford Loans. The Master Promissory Note can last up to 10 years and does not have to be done more than once as long as you use the same lender. Make sure to keep a copy of your MPN for your records.

Students borrowing with Citibank must complete their MPN at the Citibank MPN page.

If you did not choose a lender from the UCCS Suggested Lender List or Citibank, please contact your lender about signing your MPN.

Note: You must receive an updated award letter reflecting actual loan awards before attempting to sign your prommisory note.
