Building Standards
This resource should be used for all construction projects whether remodel, rennovation or new construction for
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs effective immediately on all projects currently in design.
All projects initiated after July 1, 2008 of any given year will use the current standards for that year.
These standards should be discussed with UCCS Facilities Services Staff prior to determining final specifications for construction.
These standards are reviewed yearly and posted prior to July 1 to incorporate technological advances and best practices for construction and sustainability.
As such the contents on the pages of this library are continually being expanded. Check back often to see what's new.

Please note:

These Standards are only for use by the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, its consultants and standing-order contractors.
They are to be used as a guideline for University of Colorado at Colorado Springs building and construction projects.
Consultants shall provide project-specific documents and specification based on code analysis and engineering analysis.
