Events Center Update 11/10/08

As the activity on the Events Center moves forward there will be a major change in how the excavation takes place. Please note the contractor’s intentions as indicated below. This change, as the installation of the soldier beams and tie backs moves around to the “front” of the building, is necessary in order to finish the excavation of the site.
We will be drilling the last 12 soldier beams this week weather permitting. This will include the beams that are along the fire lane. We hope to also do our 1st set of tie backs this week starting in the Northwest corner. Mid-week we plan to remove the ramp from Mountain Lion down into the site, this has been our main truck route so far. With the removal of the ramp all of our truck traffic will be coming and going via the fire lane in front of Dwire Hall. If you have any comments or concerns please feel free to give me a call.
