This biography is shorter and provides basic information.

This is an excellent starting place site. It has a lot of links to other Morrison websites.

his is an informative site. It goes into detail about the themes of racism, beauty, abandonment, and food. It gives quotes, explanations, and raises questions for the reader to think about. http://www.az.com/~andrade/morrison/eye.html

This is another “good starting place” site. It provides quality links to sites about The Bluest Eye as well as other sites on works by Morrison.

This site shows the Dick and Jane readers that Morrison criticizes in the novel. Seeing the blue eyed blond haired children adds a lot to my understanding what Morrison is saying about beauty.

Along those same lines, this next site connects you to a picture of the candy Pecola loves because of the pretty girl on the wrapper. Go here and then click on the image of Mary Janes for a larger picture. http://www.bulkfoods.com/wrapped_candy.asp
