Yes, tests are a part of life in school. Other than required tests in your classes, these are a few you need to be aware of:


Portfolio

Your advisor will work with you on developing your Portfolio. The portfolio is related to the teacher skills and abilities you have development. The portfolio is submitted in late spring and has a number of specific requirements.

Submit a prescribe portfolio which includes:

  • Work achieved throughout the TEP program.

  • Evaluation from teacher.

  • Evaluation from university supervisor.


PLACE
(Program for Licensing Assessment for Colorado Educators)

There are four PLACE tests which must be passed for Colorado licensure:

  1. Basic Skills Test must taken before admission into TEP and passed before Student Teaching. (March, 1998)

  2. Liberal Arts and Sciences Test- take June, 1998

  3. Content Area Test- take October, 1998

  4. Professional Knowledge Test-take March, 1999.
