If you are looking to counsel people either in the school, community agencies, or private sectors, this Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Services is for you. This program offers two tracks, Community Agency and School.

Faculty will show you the instructors you will be dealing with directly.

Enrollment is limited to 30 qualified students each year.

Community Agency
Agency Counseling is designed to prepare you to provide professional services to individuals, couples, families, and groups for the purpose of treating psychopathology and promoting optimal mental health. The Program meets academic requirements for licensure as a professional counselor in Colorado and is based on national training standards. This program prepares students for work in counseling centers, agencies, business and industry, and private practice. To obtain a Master’s degree, a student must complete a 60 semester-hour community counselor training program.

School
School Counseling is designed to prepare you to work in school settings, whether elementary, middle, or secondary levels, and to work with students, parents, educators, and others within the community. The program meets endorsement requirements of the Colorado Department of Education and is based on the national standards recommended for preparation of school counselors. The School Counselor program requires 48 semester hours of coursework.
