Actual Admission Process

Make sure you have all of the necessary test requirements and experiences mentioned in Checklist one.

Schedule an appointment with an advisor for TEP by calling (719) 262-4996.

Pick up application packet at the School of Education or have them mail it to you.

Pay a $20 nonrefundable TEP Application Fee at the Cashier’s Window (Main Hall 139). Give the School of Education a copy right away to start your file.

Have all schools you have attended send 2 sets of all transcripts to:

Colorado Springs, CO 80933-7150.

Indicate all the last names you have ever used when filling out your applications.

Distribute the recommendation forms that are in the application packet as well as a stamped envelope already addressed to the address below to the people who are able to speak of your potential as a teacher.

Submit the tramscript evaluation checklist that the advisor completed during your advising appointment for your application file.

Submit the days/time of your Spring classes and work schedule to the School of Education.

Send all items to: TEP, School of Education, University of Colorado, P.O. Box 7150, Colorado Springs, CO. 80933-7150.

Send all of the needed information by this Deadline: February 1 (only once a year).

Applicants will be notified of their scheduled panel interview appointment during March or April..

Check on the status of your file by calling (719) 262-4996.

If you are accepted, complete, sign ,and have notarized the Oath and Consent form and return it to the Director of the Teacher Education Program.

If you are accepted, obtain a complete set of fingerprints through a qualified law enforcement agency on the cards provided by the School of Education. This is for the State of Colorado.

If you are accepted, return the completed fingerprinting card with a cashier’s check or money order for $38 made out to Colorado Department of Education(CDE) to the Director of the Teacher Education Program.
