Exams Offered by CU Colorado Springs

          American College Test (ACT) - Residual
The ACT is an entrance exam for incoming undergraduate students. The results are valid for admission to the CU System only. If you have taken the residual ACT in the past, you must wait at least 60 days before taking a residual ACT again. The English Only portion is offered for placement into UCCS English courses.

ACT exams are scheduled the first Saturday of each month except when noted differently on the schedule list.

Cost: $50.00

Study Materials: Study books are available in the UCCS Bookstore, public libraries and community bookstores.

          Correspondence Exams

The Testing Office proctors correspondence exams by appointment only, please call 262-3354.

Cost: $20 for each exam

Math Placement Test (MPT)

This is a placement exam for algebra and calculus courses. Students should consult with the Student Success Center (262-3260) to determine their need for this exam.
It is administered by appointment only, through the Career Center, Main Hall 201 or (719) 262-3340. 

Cost: $8.50

Study Materials: The Math Department recommends the Math 090 textbook online:  http://www.math.uccs.edu/courses/090/textbook.pdf.

          Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

The MAT is an entrance exam for graduate students.

MAT exams are scheduled the first Saturday of the month unless noted differently on the schedule list.

Cost: $80.00

Study Materials: A study book is available in the UCCS Bookstore.



Praxis: Professional Assessments for Teachers
          UCCS is a primary test site for the Praxis.  Dates are set by ETS. Registration may be obtained at the ETS web site:  www.ets.org/praxis.



          Reasoning Skills Test (RST)

The RST is for students who want to fulfill the requirement for the ID 105 course. This exam is offered by appointment only.

Cost: $20.00
