Other Activities and Interests
I’m currently serving as the 2008 faculty editor of Colorado College’s annual State of the Rockies Report Card, which focuses on wildands, environmental restoration, immigration, affordable housing, and renewable energy in the Rockies region. Between rounds of graduate school I worked for a number of Montana-based nonprofit organizations, including Predator Conservation Alliance and Wildlands CPR. In 1993 I also co-founded Wild Rockies Field Institute and for the next decade directed, taught courses, and served on the board of this still-vibrant organization.
I love being outdoors, whether to hike, run, bicycle, xc ski, or just walk around the neighborhood or camp with my family. I’m also a determined backyard gardener, especially keen on tomatoes, garlic, basil, and squash.
