The Colorado Springs Undergraduate Research Forum (CSURF) is a collaborative venture designed to highlight the accomplishments of undergraduates from Colorado College, the United States Air Force Academy, and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.  In its fifth year, the conference has grown to over 240 participants and continues to reflect the commitment and dedication of our faculty and staff to our students from all disciplines. Participation in this forum is free for currently enrolled undergraduates of CC, USAFA, and UCCS.

Non-USAFA CSURF participant and guest check-in procedures for Saturday, April 12, 2008

Entering the Academy - Please enter the US Air Force Academy via the North Gate and follow the signs to the Field House.  Park in the open parking lot and proceed to the front (South) door of the Field House.  The Registration Desk will be located inside the Field House.

Checking-in/Registration - Registration is from 8:00-9:00 a.m.   All guests and participants must present a photo-ID .  Pick up your name tag, forum program, and shuttle bus to the presentation area.  If you are arriving at a later time, follow the same procedures- the registration/information desk will be open throughout the day.

Leaving the CSURF - shuttles back to the Field House will be provided throughout the day for those who wish to leave early or those who will be arriving late.

Special needs/access - if you or a guest member will require special needs/access to any of the buildings and/or the shuttle bus, please contact Margie Teals-Davis PRIOR to April 12 th with approximate arrival time and needs.  Margie may be reached at mtealsda@uccs.edu or by phone at (719) 262-4552.


Dress Requirements
USAFA CSURF presenter dress requirements

All USAFA presenters - UOD is service dress, and the SCA is #15-06.

Non-USAFA CSURF presenter dress requirements

All non-USAFA personnel presenters please adhere to conference/business attire.


ALL CSURF Presenters

Forum Schedule - Please follow the forum schedule for your poster, art, or oral presentation times and locations.

Poster Presentations - Posters are to be placed on easels by assigned numbers (1-47) on Poster Presentation Schedule.     All poster presenters are to be at their assigned easel during the poster session 11:00-12:00.  PLEASE LEAVE YOUR POSTER UP FOR THE ENTIRE DAY.  Easels will be provided for display, however, please prepare a plan as to how your poster will "hang" or "rest" on the easel.

Art Gallery Presentations - Art work will be displayed according to placement assignments prior to the forum.  All art gallery presenters are to be at their assigned location during the art gallery session 2:00-3:00.  PLEASE LEAVE YOUR ART WORK UP FOR THE ENTIRE DAY.

Oral Session Presentations - Oral sessions are located in assigned rooms A-H, indicated on the Schedule of Events.  Presenters are listed by last name only (or last name of lead member of a group).  ALL presenters for sessions 1, 2, or 3 are to be in their assigned room at the beginning of the session time (Session 1 @ 10:20; Session 2 @ 1:20; Session 3 @ 2:40) and stay for the entire session.  Each room schedule may or may not follow the order of names listed, please be on time for your assigned session.  Please bring any items needed for your presentation to the assigned room before your session begins.  BRING ALL COMPUTER PRESENTATION MATERIALS ON CD-ROM OR FLASH DRIVE/MEMORY STICK.  INTERNET ACCESS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR PRESENTATION.
