The 11th Annual Leadership Conference took place on April 16, 2009 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was sponsored in part by the UCCS Center for the Study of Government and the Individual. The conference was held at The Lodge on the UCCS campus.

Participants in the conference:
- Learned concrete criteria by which to measure leadership effectiveness
- Acquired proven strategies for leading in adverse circumstances, and particularly in times of economic downturn
- Obtained leadership solutions uniquely adapted to the public sector.
CONFERENCE SPEAKERS WERE:
- Dr. Anthony (Tony) Kinkel, President of Pikes Peak Community College.
- John Register, a three-time All-American at the University of Arkansas.
- Kyle H. Hybl, Vice President and General Counsel for El Pomar Foundation and General Counsel for the Broadmoor Hotel.
- State Senator John Morse, a member of the Colorado State Senate since 2006.
- Dr. Fred Crowley, a seniro instructor in the College of Business at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
