She is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and the Center for Creative Leadership. She is also the co-director of the Stratton Youth Leadership Program. Ms. Makepeace served as Executive Director for Leadership Pikes Peak and currently serves as Program Facilitator to the LPP Class of 2004. Ms. Makepeace was recently appointed as the new Executive Director of The Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado, a philanthropic organization that donates money to nonprofit organizations within the community. She brings a unique perspective to the courses with her 20+ years experience in government in the area of local government and her formal education. She holds a Masters in Public Affairs from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
