Dear Friends,

James NullI wanted to announce 2 interesting upcoming events that are hosted by The Woodford Foundation, Limited Government Week Forum (LGWF) and Free People Free Market (FPFM).  Both events promise to be very interesting.  Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
James A. Null,
Executive Director, CSGI
Free People Free Market

The next FPFM seminar will be held January 13, 2009 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM at  the Vanguard School, 1605 S Corona Ave, Colorado Springs, 80905. Room TBD. Cost for the seminar is $25 per person. Register by sending your check made payable to "Limited Government Forum/FPFM" and mail to FPFM, c/o Limited Gov't Forum, 205 E Cheyenne Mtn Blvd, Colo Spgs, CO  80906.

The course was developed by Paul Prentice, PhD, and has been presented in several versions, at both UCCS and for the Independence Institute, usually in a five-section format over five weeks. The course makes the moral and philosophic case for free-market capitalism. Too few of today's adults were taught the fundamentals of a free society. This course pulls together the basic principles of liberty, shows you that these fundamentals are what makes society work while honoring the individual. This is particularly valuable for business and community leaders, high school teachers, and the general public.

We could use a little of your help in either attending or promoting (or both) our next FPFM short course on January 13. You can get more details on the LGF website, http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=tldqcucab.0.0.rkkgftcab.0&ts=S0374&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.limitedgovforum.org%2F&id=preview at the Programs and Events tab. There will also be more information on the Local Liberty Online website, http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=tldqcucab.0.0.rkkgftcab.0&ts=S0374&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.locallibertyonline.org%2F&id=preview

You're invited to Lunch with Denver Post columnist David Harsanyi

Reserve the lunch hour of Friday, December 5th  on your calendar now: The Woodford Foundation, in conjunction with Limited Government Forum, is hosting a lunchtime discussion with nationally-syndicated Denver Post Columnist David Harsanyi.  David also recently published his first book, called "Nanny State: How Food Fascists, Teetotaling Do-Gooders, Priggish Moralists, and other Boneheaded Bureaucrats are Turning America into a Nation of Children."

And as if a free meal wasn't reward enough for showing up, we'll be giving out free autographed copies of David's book as door prizes.

After being brought on at The Post a few years ago, in response to complaints that the paper's columnists all leaned leftward, Harsanyi quickly established himself as a voice to be reckoned with in Colorado Media. His witty and trenchant columns, if you don't yet read them, have helped make The Post worth reading again. Here's just a sample: http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=tldqcucab.0.0.rkkgftcab.0&ts=S0374&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.denverpost.com%2Fharsanyi&id=preview

Harsanyi recently joined the Creators Syndicate stable of writers, suggesting that he's a national talent and rising star. His work also has appeared in many national publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Reason, The Weekly Standard, National Review and The Christian Science Monitor, and he's appeared on CNN, FOX News, PBS, MSNBC and ABC World News Tonight, among others. Before coming to Colorado, Harsanyi worked for more than a decade as an editor, reporter and producer at media outlets such as The Associated Press, the New York Daily News and Sports Illustrated online.
This is sure to make for a stimulating lunchtime discussion, so reserve your seats now by e-mail (
sean@limitedgovforum.org  ) or phone (719-576-9055). We gather at 11:30 a.m. in Remingtons II at The Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort:

Bringing guests and passing along this invitation is encouraged, though I need to be notified in advance in order to provide an accurate headcount. Looking forward to seeing you December 5th.
