How exactly has your view of a 'digital earth' changed this semester?
My overall view of digital earth is that it is a very pertinent and exciting concept in this day and age. We live in a digital age and there is no way to escape it. There are tons and tons of information out there and people want that information right now or even yesterday. Even more importantly they want that information in a format that is easy to view. All the techniques and programs introduced this semester provide tools to fit that need. It’s exciting to know that these tools exist and their sophistication and use are only going to improve. This was my view at the beginning of the semester has remained so throughout. The only thing that has changed is my interest in getting to know these tools and the intricacies of their function more in depth.
