An introduction to art making, art history, and the   
contemporary art world. Course reading, writing       
assignments, and field trips equip students with the  
tools they need to think critically, write            
effectively, and build confidence in discussing art   
outside the classroom. Course is a prerequisite for   
all lower and upper division art history or studio    
art courses.
