What does it mean to be a commuter/off campus student?
Do you live in a residence hall on the UCCS campus? If you answered no, then you are indeed a commuter student. Commuting to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs may entail catching a bus, riding a bike, walking, or driving a car. Essentially, if you live off campus, we consider you to be a commuter. Commuter/off campus students represent the majority at UCCS. There are approximately 8,000 students here, of which approximately 900 live in university owned housing which leaves approximately 7,100 who are commuters/off campus students.
