The Department of Special Education seeks individuals who have a deep commitment to learners with special needs.

Students may enroll on a full-time or part-time basis, and may begin taking courses in the fall, spring, or summer semester.

Students may complete up to nine (9) special education credits without being formally accepted into a Special Education program.

Admission Criteria

• Grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 (undergraduate) or 2.75 (graduate)
• Experience with individuals with disabilities
• Letters of recommendation from academic or professional sources
• Written communication skills
• Personal interview

Application Deadlines:

• Fall Admission: June 15
• Spring Admission: October 15
• Summer Admission: April 1
