Effective July 1, 2009 Dr. Joseph Wehrman has been appointed as a board member for the National Board for Certified Counselors. NBCC is a national and international credentialing body for professional counselors with approximately 42, 000 credential holders.

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS), College of Education in collaboration with Harrison School District 2 would like to invite you to participate in a one-of-a-kind early recruitment and tuition reimbursement program. If selected for this program, Harrison School District will reimburse you up to $4,000 per semester for a maximum of three semesters. In return, you must commit to work as a classroom teacher in the Harrison School District.

The College of Education, in renewing its certification with the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education in 2008, has received a seven-year accreditation, the highest possible level of accreditation that a college can receive.

The College of Education is pleased to announce the new Ph. D. program in Educational Leadership, Research and Policy.
This program is designed to meet the personal and professional needs of educational leaders in school districts, higher education, and non-governmental organizations through rigorous courses in leadership, research and policy. This innovative program combines challenging coursework with collaborative faculty-students research labs that prepare students for successful completion of the dissertation and professional application of skills and knowledge.
