The College of Education Extended Studies office will take registrations anytime for the above programs but financial aid requires a student to be enrolled the entire semester for courses before funds are dispersed. Please contact our office 719-262-4344 and let us know if you intend to use financial aid each semester.
Another Colorado financial aid program is the Colorado LIFT Program, Loan Incentive for Teachers (LIFT). In 2001 the Colorado General Assembly passed legislation authorizing the Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE) to continue and develop a pilot teacher loan forgiveness program. This program, funded by College Invest, is designed to increase the supply of teachers in the high-demand areas of math, science, special education and linguistically diverse education by helping these teachers repay their student loans. Through Colorado LIFT, qualified teachers can get up to $2,000 in loan forgiveness per year for up to four years. For more details please visit College Invest.
