COE Extended Studies - Alternative Licensure Program (ALP)

Collage

The College of Education is pleased to introduce the new online Alternative Licensure Program.

The Alternative Licensure Program (ALP) is a one-year intensive program that leads to recommendation for Colorado provisional licensure. The program has its own complete admission process beyond the admission requirements of the University.

The Alternative Licensure Program seeks self-motivated, committed, resourceful individuals who can readily assume teaching roles in a public school classroom. Examples are para-professionals, substitute teachers, career change individuals, retired military or those who have the background and potential for successfully completing this rigorous, fast-paced program.

The theme for all of the professional education programs is

The Reflective Educator:
Answering the Call,
Honoring the Commitment.
