The Gyeongbuk Daegu English Village is an English Immersion Village in Daegu, South Korea.  The village is a partnership between the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Yeungjin College of South Korea. 

We are seeking qualified teachers to begin immediately.

Positions Available

Daegu English Language Teachers

For the 2009/2010 academic year the following salary increase is effective September 1, 2009 and is not retroactive.  A salary adjustment letter shall be attached to the existing 2009/2010 academic year employment contract.

First-Year Teachers

• Level 1: ₩ 25,000,000 South Korean Won (salary) + ₩ 2,084,000 South Korean Won (severance)
• Level 2: ₩ 29,500,000 South Korean Won (salary) + ₩ 2,459,000 South Korean Won (severance)

Second-Year Re-Hire Teachers

• Level 1: ₩ 26,000,000 South Korean Won (salary) + ₩ 2,167,000 South Korean Won (severance)
• Level 2: ₩ 30,500,000 South Korean Won (salary) + ₩ 2,542,000 South Korean Won (severance)

Special Invitation

Daegu English Village Teachers may receive a 25% (up from 20%) reduced tuition rate. This (LDE) Program is designed especially for monolingual English speaking teachers, who have English Language Learners (ELLs) in their classrooms, and want to know how to better serve those students. Educators working with individual, small groups or whole classes of English Language Learners will benefit from this Program.
