Licensure Programs

The Teacher Education & Licensure Program (TELP)

The Teacher Education & Licensure Program (TELP) offers a three-semester professional program for licensing teachers at both the elementary and secondary levels. Teacher Candidates enrolled in TELP may apply nine pre-selected semester hours of their core coursework toward the MA in Curriculum and Instruction following successful completion of degree/licensure requirements.

The Alternative Licensure Program (ALP)

The Alternative Licensure Program (ALP) is a non-traditional program for secondary (7-12) graduate students who have had significant classroom experience with adolescents in middle and/or high school settings. The ALP program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs is authorized by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) to offer secondary licenses in English, mathematics, science, social studies, and K-12 Spanish.
