CLC Application Instructions

Instructions for finding and completing the CLC Application:

  • Students (both prospective and current) need to log in to their UCCS portal. Here is a link that can get them to the log in page: http://finaidse.uccs.edu/scholgate.shtml This is the link found on the CLC website.
  • Current students will then do the following after logging into My UCCS:
    • Click on the Student tab and click the Student Services Center button
    • Under the Finances section (scroll down), they will see a “Scholarship Application” link.
  • Prospective students will do the following after logging into Go UCCS:
    • Click the Finances Tab
    • Scroll down to “Start Scholarship Application”
    • Under the Finances section (scroll down), they will see a “Scholarship Application” link.
  • If a prospective student does not see “Start Scholarship Application”, it means their application has not reached a certain point in the Admissions process.
  • Prospective students will need to have submitted their UCCS application and Admissions will need to have started processing their application before they will be able to log in to the Go UCCS portal. If a student has applied and still does not have access, we can check with Admissions on the status of their application.
  • Prospective students transcripts must be submitted to the Admissions office, but do not need to be submitted to Financial aid; we will be able to see Admission’s copy online.
  • Current student DO need to submit their transcripts to Financial Aid. Unofficial transcripts are okay.
  • Supplemental materials (Letter of Rec) must be addressed to Financial Aid and indicate that they are applying for the CLC scholarship. Students will fill out this form. http://www.uccs.edu/~finaid/schol/RecommendationForm.pdf Instructions for addressing the letters can be found at the bottom of the CLC application.
  • If the CLC application does not show up in a student’s list of potential scholarships, it could mean they do not meet the criteria (gpa, class standing). However, there may be a glitch if a UCCS student is a Junior, but still has two years left. If this happens, Jen can give them access manually.
  • Online components of the application must be submitted by 11:59p.m. on February 1, 2012. Letters of recommendation and transcripts must be dropped off to Financial Aid or postmarked by February 1, 2012. Students cannot select the application on February 1st and complete the application on the same day.
