Tina is the Operations and Academic Programs Manager at the Center for Homeland Security, a part of the National Institute of Science, Space and Security Centers at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Tina holds a BA in Psychology and a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. A former firefighter and emergency medical technician, Tina currently plays key roles in planning and executing emergency response exercises and teaches courses in emergency and fire management services, public safety administration, and homeland security.
As part of her graduate studies and research, Tina was instrumental in developing a peer support program geared toward resilience-building, coping, and recovering from traumatic occupational experiences implemented by the UCCS Department of Public Safety and Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Tina also brings over twenty years of business administration, operations, finance management and accounting experience from her positions in the private and non-profit sectors and has a distinguished history of volunteer work in the Colorado Springs community.
