Leading Expert on Cyber Security to
Appear at Symposium VI
Scott Borg, CEO of US Cyber
Consequences Unit (USCCU) has agreed to
address attendees at Symposium VI in
October. Quotes from Mr. Borg are
appearing more and more in
articles and news reports of cyber
attacks and the growth of cyber threats
to homeland security, especially with
the Russian-Georgia conflict so
prominent in today's headlines.
He will speak on October 29,
2008, at the Broadmoor Hotel in
Colorado Springs.
"Cyber attacks represent great security
risks to our society and our
economy. We must increase our
vigilance and strengthen our defense
against this insidious threat that can
and does come from anywhere," said Don
Addy, President of The National
Homeland Defense Foundation (NHDF),
host of Symposium VI. "Scott Borg
and USCCU are at the vanguard of
our nation's efforts to increase
security. We are honored to have
him appear at Symposium VI, a critical
part of NHDF's goal to convene the
nation's leading public forum on
homeland defense and security," said
Addy.
Other critical issues being discussed
at Symposium VI include The Future of
Terrorism, Intelligence Efforts to
Secure our Homeland, Critical
Infrastructure Protection, and
International Collaboration on Homeland
Defense and Security.
USCCU and NHDF are non-profit
organizations. Symposium VI is
being held Oct. 28-30,
