Few moments in U.S. history compare to the deliberate and deadly terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Our very freedoms came under attack, and thousands of innocent fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, friends and neighbors lost their lives that terrible and sad morning.

Responding to resolutions by the Colorado Springs City Council, and the Board of El Paso County Commissioners, a group of citizens is planning a solemn and respectful event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Our purpose is twofold: to honor the fallen, and to ensure that we never forget what happened that day. Our commemoration is dedicated to the victims and the heroes that died in the rescue efforts.
