Goal #2
Develop a core curriculum that is uniquely tailored to future life and work demands, to the
opportunities offered by the region for experiential learning

Strengthen existing, add new degree programs, and offer certificates, short courses,
employer requested education that support the economic and social development needs of the
community

Enhance research by faculty and students, both graduate and undergraduate, with emphasis on
service to complex electronics, the military, non-profits, the sports industry, medical
products and services to the aging that will support Carnegie classification change from MA I
to Doctoral I

Enhance and accelerate student learning by integrating technology into all courses on
campus and into life-long learning opportunities on campus and at a distance and into
university management
