COMMUNICATION

General Information:
Communication, the process of exchanging information through a common set of symbols, has been the essence of humanity for thousands of years. The communication major at UCCS studies many types of communication (for example, oral, family, non-verbal, professional, intercultural, and so on). It explores the best way to adjust to make sure that the message is received and understood.
There are four communication majors offered at UCCS: general communication, organizational communication, recording arts, and media management, all of which open up a different set of doors. As a general rule though, communication in itself is always a valuable skill that can be used virtually anytime and anywhere.

Career Possibilities:

Opportunities should be best for college graduates who combine a degree in public relations, journalism, or another communications-related field with a public relations internship or other related work experience.
