Group Fitness

We offer a number of group fitness sessions each semester, providing a variety of options for someone looking to improve their wellness in a high-energy setting! All it takes, along with your membership, is a trip to the Rec Center to pick up your Group Fitness Pass. The Group Fitness Pass is required to participate in any of the group fitness sessions, but it gets you access to any of the sessions anytime you want to join in the fun.

Spring '10 Group Fitness Schedule

NEW - Total Body Workout - Tu/Th - 8:15a: A highly effective interval training program combining 3-5 cardio drills with strength training exercises focusing on "lean muscle". The class will be held primarily outdoors when the weather allows, and indoors when it does not. Class will always start at finish at the Rec!

NEW - Stretching & Flexibility - Tu - 6:30p: This class focuses on increasing the flexibility of the total body utilizing a number of stretching techniques!

Cardio-circuit - M/W at 6:30a or Thu at 5:30p: This class is never short on variety! Participants will work through a series of stations, and all exercises can be altered to accomodate your fitness level!

Vinyasa-Flow Yoga - Tu at 12:15p & Thu at 11:45a: This variety of Yoga focuses on "one breath, one movement" catering to all levels of fitness. We do have a limited number of mats available for participants who do not have their own!

Aquacize - Thu - 6:30a: Aquacize offers a great cardio workout in a low-impact environment! We have everything you need for the class, you supply the energy, swimsuit, and towel.

Hip-hop Dance - Tu - 4:00p: This instructional class offers participants an opportunity to learn Hip-Hop Dance moves in a high-energy environment!

Ballroom Dance - Th - 4:00p: Always wanted to learn to Ballroom dance? This is your chance! Need a partner? No worries, come join in the fun anyway, or grab a friend!

Step Aerobics - Tu - 5:30p: Step offers a great cardio workout for all fitness levels!!
