FAQ’s for TEAM CAMP             

When is the camp being held:
JULY 17-19

What is the cost per camp per session?
Team Camp:  $275/team
Option A: $140/person              3 Nights/9 meals
Option B: $110/person             2 Nights/7 meals                                                             Option C: $55/person               Meals Only                                                                            Option D: $30/night          Room Only

When is the first meal?
The first meal for Option A is dinner on Wed, July 16.  The first meal for Option B is Lunch on Thursday, July 17

When is the last meal?
Team Camp: The last meal served is lunch on Saturday

Do you recommend any local hotels in Colorado Springs in case parents/campers need to arrive a day early?
We recommend the Amerisuites located about one mile from the field.  (719-265-9385)

How many campers per room?
We provide four beds per dorm room

What about safety and security for campers?
We cannot be cautious enough!  Our public safety officers patrol the grounds throughout the night.  Doors and building are secured and locked after hours.  A member of your teams coaching staff or chaperone will be housed with the campers.

What about roommate requests?
We make every effort to honor all rooming requests.

If camp is full, do you have a waiting list?
We do accept names for a waiting list and there is always a good chance to get into camp due to cancellations.

When do we need to sign up?
Apply early to secure your spot.

What about the food served at camp?
The food provided by the UCCS camp staff through the UCCS dining hall or a local restaurant.

Does my camper need to be a good volleyball player or presently on a club or travel team to attend the camps?
We have no such requirements for our camps-just the willingness to work and learn the best volleyball techniques and have fun!

What is the typical daily schedule for a camper?
7:00 am: Wake up
7:30-8:00: Breakfast
9:00 to 12:00 am: Training Session/Team Competition
12:00-1 pm: Lunch
1:00 to 4:00pm: Training Session/Recreation
4:30 to 6:00pm: Dinner
6:00 to 9:00pm: Training Session/Team Competition
9:15 pm: In your own room
10:00pm: Lights out

What types of items are recommended for my camper to bring?
We suggest the following:

All Campers: 
Equipment bag-for ball and gear.
Volleyball shoes
Knee Pads
Extra Socks.

Overnighters:
Same as above
Athletic socks-8 pairs
Playing shorts-4 pairs.
Alarm clock.
Cell phone.
Small fan.
Toiletries.
Towels-4.
Washcloths-4.
Water bottle.
Sweatshirt-2.
T-Shirt-4.
Warm-up suit.
Pajamas.                                                                                                                         
Extra spending money if you’d like
Place name on everything!

When do the campers check out?
Saturday, July 19th after their last competition…between 2-4 pm.

Where are the UCCS volleyball camps located?
Camps will be held at Mountain Lion Gymnasium located in the center of campus and in the UCCS Recreation Center on the west side of the campus.  The main gym is on the 2nd floor of the University Center.  Parking will be available in lots 3 and 4.  Campers must contact coach prior to camp for parking permits.  UCCS will not be liable for any parking tickets.  Check in will be at the dorms-Monarch Lodge on Wednesday, July 16 at 5pm or on Thursday, July 17 from 7:30-9:30 am before the first session.
