What about Meals?
The camp will not provide meals. Campers will need to provide their own lunch.
Jimmy Johns will take orders and deliver to the field within 10 minutes. 719-590-7827
Who is conducting the Camp?
UCCS Head Coach Scott Peterson, Assistant Coach Don Pettrow,Assistant Coach Becki Pepper, and members of the UCCS Softball Team.
OverNight Campers?
We recommend the Hyatt Hotel located one mile from the field, http://coloradosprings.place.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/place/index.jsp 719-265-9385.
What is the camper to staff ratio?
The ratio is approx. 14 to 1.
What about safety and security for campers?
Our public safety officers patrol the grounds throughout the day and night.
If camp is full, do you have a waiting list?
We do accept names for a waiting list and there is always a good chance to get into camp due to cancellations.
When do we need to sign up?
Apply early to secure your spot.
Is there a discount for children in the same family or team discounts?
NCAA rules strictly prohibit any type of discounts.
Does my camper need to be a good softball player or presently on a club or travel team to attend the camps?
The early session is built to train the younger more inexperienced player. The late session is for older players or players with 3 years of fast-pitch experience.
What does my camper need to bring?
Each camper must have a glove, bat, helmet and spikes. Catchers should bring catching gear. Bring a lunch. We also suggest a water bottle and sunscreen as Colorado Springs can be quite warm and sunny during the day.
Where is the Softball Camp located?
Camp will be held at Mountain Lion Field/Mountain Lion Stadium formerly known as Four Diamonds Sports Complex. The Complex is located on North Nevada Avenue, ¼ Mile North of Austin Bluffs/Garden of the Gods Road.
