DNAThe purpose of the institute

is to build a multidisciplinary approach to understanding cellular metabolism and cellular communication with the intention of treating or curing serious diseases.Bioenergetics is the study of how cellular metabolism (choice of fuel, energy production, storage and consumption) governs the interaction between cells.

The interaction between cells is central to life, death, and disease.

Our Mission is to determine the effect of bioenergetics and metabolism on the immune response. To treat or cure diseases, such as Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, and Diabetes, through manipulations of bioenergetics and metabolism that affect the immune response, and to provide educational and career opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students through multidisciplinary participation in each aspect.
